To be or not to be...

My sister and I spent the remainder of our Friday evening contemplating the meaning of life by enrolling ourselves in an Exercise TV belly-dancing course. Could this be our life calling? Is belly-dancing the key to a happy life? Neither of these questions crossed our minds as we struggled to imitate Mayek Garcia's expert moves and shallow instructions on mastering the belly dance. All semester long I would pick apart each new activity I involved myself in and consider it a life-calling possibility. I may not have taken it to the professional belly-dancing extreme but I definitely over thought each one of my interests and stretched it into a possible career option. What would life be like if we literally considered each of our passions as a possible career, such as cupcake baking or softball?

Can you spot the rainbow?

As Sara and I threw the softball back and forth in the rain, we saw this rainbow peaking out behind our neighbor's house. It sure was beautiful, and brief-we had to run in and tell the family our findings before it disappeared, which certainly didn't take long. Today my brother played his second tournament game for his AAU league at Denison University in Granville. He sure has transformed into quite the "baller." As I sat and observed the game I decided that basketball is comparable to magic. First, they pressed the entire game, keeping it at a fast and aggressive pace and then as I watched the players throw up the ball as the opposing team practically pushed them down to the floor, I couldn't help but cross my fingers and hope the ball would make it through the 18 inch diameter hoop. Ryan in a way is a magician, he creates magic on the basketball court and I am so proud of him for that. He knows the game well and is an impressive player, I'm excited to watch him play next year.
A salad???

When Sara is hungry, she is hungry!
