The summer always begins with a rush, there are just so many things on your summer to-do list. And so you take that to-do list and try and accomplish it all within the very first week, ending in exhaustion and a state of absolute happiness and satisfaction. I am currently experiencing this state of bliss, and with this joyous beginning I am only expecting the best of the weeks to come. I began my first night of summer with my sister, we put on our favorite facial masks and I painted her nails as we watched reruns of The Office. And now, exactly one week later, I sit in my empty kitchen with a free blueberry scone from Panera and a steaming cup of coffee while the new Fleet Foxes album plays in the background- a picture perfect morning. My first week of summer has flown by and I wish I could begin to describe each picture perfect moment that has passed since my arrival.

I went shopping on Thursday with Mandi, had my Anthropologie interview on Friday, hung out with my best friend Meredith, saw Ryan off to prom on Saturday and was offered the position at Anthropologie, interviewed for Panera and was offered a position there on Sunday, and stayed in Bedford until Tuesday. I would say that my first week of summer break was a great success, and today I took my first day of rest by relaxing with The Good Earth and finished my first full Wednesday off with my second car search. My dad and I ventured out to Bellefontaine (Bell-fountain) and test drove 5 cars and inspected many more, finding very few up to our standards. The first dealership was a shady one much to our dismay and the second had one vehicle I found to be above and beyond what I envisioned myself driving. We will see how this deal plays out over the next few days, I may have my first car! This summer has been one full of opportunities and I am anxious to see where these new opportunities will lead me in the months to come. The summer can open doors bursting with endless possibilities, possibilities that can lead you into a delightful unknown.
