IWU Trials & Tribulations

This year has had it's ups and downs: from the fire, to my peers lack of trust in my judgment and character, I'm not sad to see this year come to a close. I've made awesome friends and have grown throughout my time here at Indiana Wesleyan, but there has been one question I have found myself asking since the beginning, "Do I belong here?" I've been forced to take steps back this year and I'm ready to move forward. When I first arrived at college, my first incident hit me full force. My first ever grown man stalker decided to court me via facebook the day after I printed my photos for a Spanish project at Meijer. He used my information from these photos so he could leave me a long, love message... Not soon after this unfortunate scare I was blessed with another surprise, my first fire! I learned the importance of fire safety that night and that pants are indeed essential. Freelance light bulbs in close proximity of highly flammable sheets and Anthropologie bedding is more dangerous then my little freshman mind could manage to wrap around. If the sight of my brand spankin' new Anthropologie quilt didn't scar me for life, the fact that I walked out of that dorm room in my light pink boy short undies sure did. Luckily the world is full of generous people, so by the time I had to talk to the surprisingly not hot fireman, I had pants-ed my shivering white legs. Thanks Ashli for being so thoughtful, mortification would have never ceased without your benevolence. The aftermath of this small, preventable fire went on for far too long. Things may never be the same, but at least I am able to speak of this catastrophe without cringing. Here are some never before seen photos of the charred wall and the halls of Shatford constricted by my crap thrown into the obnoxious yellow bins.
